Age 28, born in Albuquerque, NM on May 30, 1985, passed away in Taipei, Taiwan on August 5, 2013. He had been teaching English to Taiwanese children for the past two years. Ryan attended Bandelier Elementary, Wilson Middle School and graduated from Highland High School in 2003. He attended the University of New Mexico and graduated with degrees in Languages and Art. While at UNM he spent a year in the Study Abroad program at the University of Bonn, Bonn, Germany and learned to speak German fluently. He was president of the UNM German Club and ran the art studio at UNM. He also studied Arabic and he was rapidly learning Mandarin. Ryan was a man of many talents. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Chris McEuen; sister Katie; brothers Charley and Keith (Brittany); uncle Steve (Sue) McEuen; aunt Marg McEuen; cousins Mark, Eric, Matt, Brian and Davey McEuen; and nieces, Megan, Elle, Lauren and Mia McEuen and nephew Ian McEuen. His uncle Dick preceded him in death on August 3, 2013, as did his Grandmothers, Grace Hanna Raney (1999) and Gilberta Piatt McEuen (1989). A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead Ave. SW.
