A tender-hearted and creative spirit quietly left this world on Friday, August 29. 2014, to join his beloved grandfather, Ben Dodson, in the presence of God. Ryan, known as "Uncle Bowser" by the nephews who adored him, was 28 years old. He is survived by many who loved and cherished him, including his mother, Kirbye Davis; father, Chris Fogel and wife, Marie St. Claire; brothers, Thomas Higgins and wife, Kendra and James Higgins and wife, Loni; stepsister, Bailey Montoya; "pseudo" brother, Tyler Higgins; nephews, Cade, Carter, Cole and Triumph Higgins; niece, Haven Higgins; grandmother, Marlene Dodson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ryan was a unique, sensitive and artistic person, who always saw life a bit differently than most: willing to share whatever he had even if he went without, lend an ear and comfort to those who were in pain, treat strangers or friends with the same respect and courtesy, and to look at life with a youthful wonder and amazement. A Celebration of Ryan's unique spirit will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Ryan's memory to Grace Church Rivers of Mercy Children's Home Fund, 6901 San Antonio Dr. NE, 87109 or St Martin's Hospitality Center, 1201 3rd St NW, 87102.
