Ryan C. Chavez, age 29, died suddenly on September 5, 2015 in a motorcycle accident. Ryan was preceded in death by his father Clarence Chavez; grandmother Jean McCormick; and uncle David McCormick. Ryan was blessed in his life to have had two fathers. He is survived by his loving parents, Elliott and Cynthia Teller; grandfather retired Col. David McCormick; sister Angela Madrid and partner Gerald Sandoval; sister Jennifer Padilla; brother Izzac Teller; nephews Nicholas, Noah and Diego; and niece Madelyn. Loved dearly by his Aunt Diane Cornali and husband John; Aunt Joanne Rucker and husband Bill; cousins Ashley, David, Bryan, Troy and Emily. Ryan was blessed to have recently reconnected with paternal sister Crystal Jackson and nieces Aleenarose and Kassie. Also survived by grandparents Alfonso and Rose Barbero; aunts Charlene and Kristine; uncles Ermie, John, and Dennis; and many cousins. In Ryan's life he went through the fire, found the Lord, and was a textbook example of redemption and changes that can be accomplished through strength and faith. Ryan's family wants to express their heartfelt gratitude to Victory Outreach Church, the Mens Recovery Home, Pastors Danny and Barbara Sanchez, and Dave and Gary. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at Victory Outreach Church, 1404 Lead Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87106 on Friday September 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Ryan's name to the Victory Outreach Mens Recovery Home.
