Ruth Rosen, 92, died peacefully on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Ruth was the wife of the late Harry Rosen. They were married for 60 years until his death in 2006. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind sons, Jeff Rosen and his wife, Lynne of Albuquerque, Ira Rosen of Albuquerque, and Eliot Rosen and his wife, Felicia of Stoughton, MA. Ruth was the loving grandmother of Jessica, Katya, Kostya, Rachel, Madeline, and Nina. She was also great-grandmother to Anastasia, Tyler, Elise, Ruth, and Lucy. Ruth grew up in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of Harry and Rebecca Laufer. Following the war, Ruth married Harry in 1946. They moved to Long Island, NY in 1954, where they raised their family, later moving to Albuquerque, NM in 1972. Ruth and Harry opened a restaurant called the Intermission Deli in the 1970s in Albuquerque, which they ran through the early 1980s. Ruth worked at The Covered Wagon in Old Town for many years and later at Costco. She also volunteered as a Red Hat at Presbyterian Hospital and especially loved bringing smiles to kids. Ruth will be remembered for her passion at playing Mah Jongg, cooking at family gatherings, and loved going on cruises.
