Ruth E. Merrill

Ruth E. Merrill 79, loving mother and friend, went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2015. Ruth was born in Monte Vista, Colorado and she lived in Albuquerque most of her life. She retired from the State of New Mexico as the Grand Jury Administrative Assistant. Ruth had an avid love of reading and enjoyed traveling. She had been active in her church and for many years, was a member of both American Business Women's Association and Beta Sigma Phi.
She is survived by her daughter, Carla Chalk and husband Greg; son, Kevin Qualle and wife Marget; granddaughters, Heather Smith and husband Carl, Mary Joan Gore and husband Daniel; great granddaughters, Carly and Christa Smith; brother, Robert Casias and wife Rita.
A memorial celebration will be held on November 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Monte Vista Christian Church, 3501 Campus Blvd. NE.
