Ruth Elizabeth Rigney Meadows

Ruth Meadows, age 87, raised in Mesilla New Mexico, and lived most of her life in Albuquerque. Ruth, a devoted wife and loving mother, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 10, 2017.
Ruth was known for her creativity, love of music and enjoyed the great outdoors. Ruth graduated from New Mexico State University in 1951 with a degree in Biology. She sang with the UNM Choir from 1980 to 2014. She loved to paint, play tennis, hike, travel, learn about New Mexico history and the changing world around her.
She is survived by her husband, James, her children: Kim (Bruce), Karen (John), Karla (Ken), Kirk (Kathy), and Kathy; her grandchildren: Michael, David, Christine, Rigney, Claire, and Kira. She also leaves many cherished cousins, nephews, and nieces and friends.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, May 15, 2017, at 10:30 at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
