Ruby Sanders

Ruby Sanders, 91, beloved wife and mother, died peacefully at home on January 23, 2019.

She entered this world on December 20, 1927 in Espanola, NM, born to Flavio and Petronila Montoya.  She is survived by her sons, John, Dennis, Roger and Glen. Ruby was predeceased by her loving husband, John R. and her daughter, Denise. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

After 30 years of traveling around the U.S., Japan and England she retired with husband John in her beloved New Mexico. She was a very devoted Catholic and active with the Shrine of St. Bernadette's for numerous years. She truly loved cooking for her family and gardening.

Rosary will be recited Thursday, January 31, 2019, 8:30 a.m. with a 9:00 a.m. Mass to follow at The Shrine of St Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Road NE in Albuquerque.  Burial will follow 2:15 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
