Ruben Soriano Manese

Ruben Manese had many titles during his lifetime, but his favorite role was being a father. He is survived by his wife, Lucia, and daughters, Ariel and Aileen. Though his passing was unexpected, Mr. Manese's contagious laughter and humor will forever be with us. He was welcomed into God's Kingdom on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023.

Ruben was born on April 7th, 1958 in Angeles City, Philippines. He came from a big, loving family consisting of nine brothers and sisters. Ruben studied college at Holy Angel University and graduated an Electrical Engineer in 1982.

After graduation, the love story between Ruben and Lucia began in 1978. On their first date, Ruben asked Lucia to be his girlfriend. They maintained a long-distance relationship, as Lucia worked in Bahrain, and Ruben moved to the United States. After ten years, on Christmas day 1987, Ruben surprised Lucia with a proposal. They got married immediately on New Years in 1988.

Ruben brought Lucia to the United States in 1992. After two years they had their first-born daughter, Ariel, in 1994. Ruben worked hard at two jobs--he sewed denim at Levi's and was a custodian at Lockheed Martin. In 1996, he was promoted to a Simulator Technician where he enjoyed his job for the next 25 years. In 1997, Ruben and Lucia had their second daughter, Aileen. Once retired from Lockheed Martin, Ruben and Lucia became foster parents, welcoming kids into their home and further growing their family in 2018.

He was the happiest feeding his daughters their favorite meals. And he was even happier vacationing back home in the Philippines, surrounded by his family. He loved eating the freshest seafood and singing karaoke. Ruben will be remembered as thoughtful, caring, and happy. He found light in every situation and was always smiling. His love and laughter will live on forever through his family and friends.

A Visitation will be held Monday, April 3, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. Funeral Services will follow.
