Roz Denette

Roz Denette, 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Roz was born in Plainview, NY, then resided in Ludlow, MA until 2018 when she moved to Rio Rancho, NM. She graduated from John F Kennedy High School in Plainview, NY (class of 1978) and SUNY Cortland (class of 1982).

She is survived by her husband; David Denette, mother; Shirley Hinden, daughter; Jaime McAtee and fiancé Anthony, daughter; Nicole McAtee, granddaughter; Kyarah Evans, sister; Marilyn (Ira) Goldstein, nieces and nephews; Matthew (Karen) Goldstein, Eric Goldstein, Danielle (Al) Wiesner, Jay Garbarino, and other loving family members. She is predeceased by her father; Stanley Hinden.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Roz enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, going to the beach, playing computer games with her husband David, and sitting outside watching New Mexico sunsets. Roz had a very caring personality and was known as “Mom” by many friends, neighbors, and foster children whose lives she touched. Her constant smile and laughter brought joy and happiness to her family and all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to her Graveside Service on Tuesday, May 28, 2024; 1 o’clock at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helix Human Services or Alzheimer's Association.
