Roy Venaglia

Roy Venaglia, 86, died May 7, 2016. He is survived by his children, Fred Venaglia, Julie Ann Garcia and husband Larry, Roy Venaglia Jr.; his grandchildren, Larry Garcia, Jason Garcia and wife Olivia, Johnny Garcia and wife Melissa, Amie Venaglia, Brandon Venaglia, Nicholas Venaglia and wife Pesya, Carlin Venaglia and wife Teara, Tina Fout and husband Josh, Catherine "Katie" Venaglia, Shelby Venaglia, and Dylan Venaglia. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Giovanna, Jacob, Alicia, Amarie, Johnny Jr, Andrew, Josh Jr, Larry Jr, Madelyne, Alana, Brooke, Aiden, Jack, Eli, Landon, Aubree and Zander and many other family and friends including his sister, Millie LiPetri from Chicago. Mr. Venaglia was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine; his parents, Fred and Gulianna; and his brother, Frank and wife Anna.
Roy was born in Chicago, met and married Catherine and raised three children where they were in the restaurant business. They moved to Albuquerque in 1963 where they reestablished their restaurant business, Caruso's, which is still in business today. He is a long time member of the Church of the Risen Savior Catholic Community. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:00 a.m., May 13, 2016 at The Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Wyoming and Paseo Del Norte. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Risen Savior or the charity of your choice.
