Roy Albert Livermore, 93, born June 6, 1924, in Gallina, NM died on February 8, 2018 with his daughters at his side.
He was preceded in death by Joyce, his wife of 62 years. He is survived by his children, Glenda Strom (Gary), Michael Livermore, Deborah Henson, and Mitchell Livermore. Roy is also survived by one brother, Glen Livermore of Espanola, NM, and sister-in-law, Lorraine Livermore of Rio Rancho. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Roy lived and worked in New Mexico his entire life. Working in the construction industry he had the pleasure of meeting and working with many individuals that to this day admire and respect him. Roy moved to Edgewood, NM after retirement. He was caretaker for his wife for many years until her care required more skills than he had. He then made the trip to Albuquerque almost daily to lunch with her. After Joyce’s death Roy joined the Edgewood Senior Center making new friends, and being known for his skill as a Rummikub player.
Roy’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, February 22, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. Cremation has taken place. Roy will be buried in Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
