DEWING, ROY "BUD" Born in Wichita, KS on March 8, 1918 - died on Monday, October 13, 2014. He leaves behind those of us who loved him dearly: his wife, Leone Dewing; sons, Roland and Robert Dewing; daughters, Jenny Lamb and Thais Noble; sister, Michele Koetter; a huge army of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as all of the friends he has touched with his jokes and laughter. He led such a full life, being a flight test engineer for Boeing B-29s, working for the Atomic Energy Commission, riding back country as security at Los Alamos, working for NASA during the Apollo Missions, and for the Defense Nuclear Agency. He shared his love of life through entertaining many as a band member and Shriner. He even appeared in an ad for Phillips 66 and on a documentary as a saloon piano player. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at Paradise Hills Methodist Church, 4700 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
