Roy B. Billingsley

July 3, 1932 – May 6, 2018

He was born in Floydada, TX to Jefferson and Lavenia Billingsley, he was the youngest son; his brother, Granville, sisters, Laverne Hampton and Lavelle Starkey. He is survived by Mary (Noel) Billingsley, his wife of 53 years; his children, Kathy Ann (Rick Butts), Jimmy Earle (Mary Lou), Cindy Lynn (John Gifford), Randy Alan (Jill Elliott), Nancy Leigh Billingsley; and stepdaughter, Julie Burke (Alby). He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Granville; sister, Laverne; son, Jimmy; son-in-law, John; and grandson, Dustin Gifford. He had 9 grandchildren, Dustin and Jesse Gifford, Jeffery and Brian Butts, Michelle Plaster, Joshua and Kristen Billingsley, Brianna Mercer and Branden Billingsley; 10 great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Jayse and Ella Mae Gifford, Taylor, Nadee Jo and Samantha Butts, Haley, Landon and Cody Plaster and Kenzlee Mercer; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda (Noel) and Chuck Gressett; also numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a USA Army Veteran. He loved boating, camping, hunting, woodworking, loved working with his hands. He loved going to Ruidoso to watch his grandchildren. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be missed by all.

His family and friends will celebration of his life on Saturday, May 12, 2018, visitation at 11:30 a.m. with service to follow at FRENCH – University. Burial will take place on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
