Ross Houston, 90, beloved brother, cousin, uncle and friend was called to his eternal resting place on September 26, 2015. He entered this world on December 15, 1924 in Bastrop, Texas born to Isaiah and Lula Houston. He is survived by his brother, James H. (Jimp) Houston, Austin, TX; cousin, Larry Abrams, Albuquerque, NM; a nephew, Leonard Wilson, Elgin, TX; three nieces, Twarina Dugas (Willie), Pearland, TX, Delores Jones, Houston, TX, and Katrina Loud (Tyrone), San Antonio, TX; and many extended relatives. Ross served in the US Army in Europe during WWII from June 1943 to Jan 1946. After military service, Ross attended Prarie View A&M, worked at Crown Tailors in Austin, TX, was the Maitre D for many years at the Petroleum Club in Albuquerque, and manufactured aircraft engine parts at General Electric in Albuquerque for 19 years until he retired in 1995. Ross lived at BeeHive Homes in Albuquerque, Taylor Ranch the last years of his life. The family would like to thank BeeHive Homes and all their staff for the wonderful home and care provided to him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Westside.
