Rosemary Stella Cordova, 85, of Albuquerque (Barelas, USA), joined her soulmate, Margarito “Richard" Cordova, in heaven on September 24, 2017. Many of us knew her as Vieja, momma, madre, Nani, grandma, Mrs C., Mrs. Cordova, and Auntie Stella. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, friend, and above all, a devoted woman of God. Stella was committed to her faith, and was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Guadalupanos and the Queen of Heavan Alter and Rosary Society. She was an avid Lobo fan who attended games regularly with her family, and anybody who would take her. She was loyal to her family, and took immense pride in each of her children and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and their accomplishments. She touched numerous souls, and will be remembered for her generosity and kindness.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lucia Gutierrez; father, Enrique Gutierrez; husband, Margarito Cordova; and grandson-in-law, Wyatt Neumann. She is survived by her three children, Richard (Rick) Cordova, Joe Cordova and wife, Christine, and Rosemarie Baca; her grandchildren, Brian and his Destani, Jennifer, Christopher and wife, Jessi, Marisa, Lisa and husband, Ryan, Sonja and husband, Travis, John Paul, Feliz and fiancé, Felipe, Sarah, and Lily; her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Marcos, Brianna, Aleah, Takota, Kory, Stella, and Matias. Also surviving Rosemary is her ever-loving sister, Elma Apodaca and extended family and friends, Betsy, Lynne, Suzanne, and Kimberly.
Pallbearers will be Brian, Christopher, John Paul, Marcos, Albert, Travis, Ryan and Felipe. There will be a Viewing on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix Avenue NE.
