Rosemary Stauss Beardsworth passed away at her home on Thursday, October 25, 2013, surrounded by family and her Hospice friends. She was born November 7, 1919 in Ione, Arkansas to Mintie Brownfield Stauss and Henry Lee Stauss. Her parents moved to Tahlequah, Oklahoma when she was a young child. Rosemary graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1937. She attended Northeastern State College where she was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority. She was married to Donald E. Beardsworth, and they had three children, Donald E. Beardsworth Jr., Jerry Lee Beardsworth, and Mary Carol Beardsworth. The family moved to Albuquerque in 1952. There, Rosemary started the Albuquerque Hostess Service welcoming newcomers to the city. She was in real estate for over 30 years in the Albuquerque area. She worked with Brown Realty and Hooten-Stahl Realty. Rosemary opened the first flat fee realty office, Save-Com in 1978. Rosemary is survived by her son, Jerry Beardsworth of Albuquerque; daughter, Mary Anderson (David) of Tucson, Arizona; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; her former husband, Donald E. Beardsworth; her oldest son, Donald E. Beardsworth Jr.; and daughter in law, Nancy Beardsworth. The family would like to thank the caregivers of Amber Care Hospice Services for the loving care given to their loved one. Special thanks to nurses Rebecca, Ally, Kim, and Nadia; Nurse Assistant Yvette; Chaplain Beth, and Dr. Goldman.
