Roseann Lockhart Maul, born September 30, 1937, in East Liverpool, Ohio to Samuel Lockhart and Hedwig Stohl.
Roseann was involved in many groups and activities, she enjoyed genealogy, quilting, sewing and many other hobbies. She was a member of the National Genealogical Society and had helped many individuals to find their family history and research the past. She would travel all over the country and go to libraries, court houses and knew how to find all kinds of records that were hidden away.
She was a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution DAR as the State Historian, Genealogy, and many other positions. Along with contributing to many projects throughout the years. Just one of her many positions was the Historian for the Santa Fe Trail Committee which was one of her accomplishments that she was proud to being a part of. She was able to help locate the some of the Markers and helped work on getting funds for the restoration. She helped the Buffalo Soldier Cemetery to research the Soldier to help find the history of some of the Soldiers.
Roseann was involved in many quilting, sewing and knitting groups: Thimbleweeds and Desert Designs to name a few. She has completed numerous quilts for family, friends, new babies, her RV and of course herself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Hedwig (Stohl) Lockhart; sister, Alice Amick; brother, Alvin Lockhart; husband, Ronald Maul of 61 years, and granddaughter, Tabithia White. She is survived and extremely missed by her daughters, Katrina Morse (Charles), Mitzie Tadlock (Stan), Jodi Morgan (Willy), and Kelly Stull; grandchildren, John White, Erika Aldaz, Robert and Nicholas Stull, Veronica and Giovanni Morgan (Allison); great-grandchildren, Trenton White, Sage Pridham, Serena Chavez, Destiny and Alyssa Aldaz and Cooper Morgan; and sister, Nancy Miller and brother, Albert Lockhart.
Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Westside Reception Room.
Roseann's ashes will be placed next to her husband, Ron, on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico. Due to limited space, this event will be limited to family members and invited guests only.
