Roseann Giallanella

Roseanne Giallanella, 68, beloved Mother, Daughter, Spouse, Aunt, and Sister, was called into the gates of Heaven on November 8th, 2023, after a short, unexpected illness. She entered this world on October 19, 1955, in Morristown, NJ, born to Richard and Antoinette Rillo.

Roseanne was born and raised in New Jersey. She was raised Catholic and attended Catholic school with her older brother, Louis Rillo, and graduated from Chatham Highschool, NJ. She went on to attend secretarial school and worked as an executive secretary prior to meeting her husband, Michael, through ballroom dancing classes. She was married on August 29th, 1987, and they were married for 36 years. During that time, they had a daughter, Celia. In 2008, Roseanne and her family relocated to New Mexico where she resided for 15 years. She always found joy and a reason to smile on a daily basis, and found humor in the little things in life.

Roseanne devoted her life to her family and her dogs providing them support and unconditional love throughout their daily lives. In her adult life, she and Michael competed in numerous ballroom dancing events. She enjoyed supporting her daughter's talents and aspirations by attending her school events and cheering her on throughout her college career. Roseanne loved going to the beach, riding bikes, ballroom dancing, going to church and listening to her daughter sing in the church choir every Sunday, taking her dogs to the park, watching movies, shopping, and dining out with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter Celia; husband Michael; sister-in-law Lisa Giallanella; brother-in-law Louis Giallanella; niece Gina Giallanella; niece Marissa Bezney; niece Amanda Valcarcel; niece Marlena Rillo. A viewing and rosary will be held at 9:00 AM prior to a mass service on November 29th, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. John XXIII Catholic Community in Albuquerque, NM. Following, there will be a reception. Afterwards, she will spend her eternal rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
