Mrs. Roseann Josephine “Robbie” Feuerherd, daughter of the late Hollis and Elsie Roberts, was born on July 13, 1943 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She grew up in and around Albuquerque, NM, completing public school at Rio Grande High School. Roseann served in the United States Navy for eight years, and she taught Job Corps. locally until she was hired at EG&G as an electronics technician. Roseann married Jurgen “J.” Feuerherd in 1994. J. preceded her in death on July 24, 2003.
Roseann was the first woman to ever become a Navy helicopter captain. Roseann had many hobbies included taking care of horses, balloon crewing, fishing, rock collecting (for the grandkids), photography, building bears, crafts, and collecting pink shoelaces! As a result of her vivacious spirit, creativity and generosity, Roseann was a good friend and loved by many. She quietly departed from this life on April 29, 2017 in her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Roseann was also preceded in death by her brother, Jim Roberts.
Roseann’s life will be cherished in the lives of her step-children: John Feuerherd of Albuquerque, NM; Beckie Lobb of Pheonix, Arizona, and Debbie Greer of Inverness, Florida; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, four nieces, and a host of other friends and family.
