Rose DeLara

Rose DeLara, age 81, born May 23, 1931, passed away on January 19, 2013. Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Auntie, and Friend who touched everyone that came into her life and will be greatly missed and eternally loved. She is survived by her children, Randy and Aline Chavez, Freddie and Anita Chavez, Patsy Wiggins, Eileen Lucero, Bettye Chavez, Cathy Montoya and Pedro, Eddie and Leslie DeLara; 25 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Castillo and Esther Houidobre; brothers, Andy Castillo and wife Edna, and Junie Castillo and wife Nancy; a very special aunt, Emma Barboa; special friend, Joe Lovato; and many nieces, nephews, and extended families. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Carolina Castillo; granddaughter, Amanda Montoya; Andrew Chavez and Eddie DeLara Sr.; brothers, Telesfor Castillo, Bobby Castillo; sister, Florence Lucero; and son-in-law, Lawrence Lucero. Rosary will be recited Friday, February 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo followed by Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. with a reception to follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Social Center.
