Rose Chavez

Chavez - Rose Marie "Sister" Age 73, a life-long resident of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Edward A Chavez of Los Ranchos, NM; children, Jason Chavez and his wife, Pamala, Maria Chavez, and Eddie Chavez and his wife, Margaret Saiz; four grandchildren, Christina Moseley and her husband, Sean, Brandon Chavez, Mathiaus Willig, and Brenda Smith; three great-grandchildren, Ericray, Santos, and Dominic; sisters, Peggy Santiago, Patricia Martinez, and Mary Ellen Ipiotis; brother, Robert Garcia; and numerous other relatives and friends.. Sister was preceded in death by her parents, Walter M.Garcia and Tillie Fay Chavez; sisters, Norma Jean Garcia and Teresa Miera; brother Mark Ipiotis; and grandchild, Dominic Smith. She was born in 1939 in Albuquerque and graduated from Valley High School. Sister grew up in the North Valley and married Edward A. Chavez on October 29, 1958. She was everybody's grandmother and God-mother. Sister loved playing bingo with her bingo friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Rosary will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 4th Street and Alameda,on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 9:00 a.m. .
