Rosalie "Rosie" Shelton

Rosalie "Rosie" Shelton, 79 , went to be with her Lord on February 11, 2016. She passed away peacefully surrounded by love and members of her family. Rosalie was full of laughter, love and life. Toward the end of her life, Rosie had genuine love for everyone she met and only saw how beautiful they were, a fitting legacy for a truly lovely and beautiful lady. We will miss you and always love you, and look forward to our heavenly reunion. She is survived by her son, John; her sister, Patricia Ann Holmes and husband, Donald; and numerous other family and friends. Rosalie was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Billy; her parents, Richard E. and Lucille Smith; and her aunt, Alice Porter. She loved to sing, performed with her husband and with her son on many occasions. Rosie particularly loved gospel music and attending musicals at Popejoy Hall. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, February 20, 2016, 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Interment will take place Monday, February 22, 2016, 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery where she will be buried with her beloved, Billy.
