Ronald E. Robertson, 88, dedicated father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband and businessman, passed away June 8, 2017. Ron was known for his faith, his dedication to his family and a strong work ethic. He retired from Service America after a successful 47-year career as the district general manager. During his career, he was president of both the New Mexico Better Business Bureau and the Executives’ Association of Greater Albuquerque.

Ron enjoyed working with his hands and loved his shop full of wood-working tools. He enjoyed camping, boating and fishing with his family. He lived by the belief that it is “not what you make, but what you save.” He lived in the same home for 67 years and built a life on a foundation of faith and giving. He gave many hours of his time to Grace United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Robertson; his children, Marilyn S. Smith and spouse Larry Smith of Phoenix, AZ and Leisa Sedall and spouse John F. Sedall of Bernalillo, NM; his grandchildren, Kellie L. Sedall spouse Aspen Byrd, Keri J. Trujillo and spouse Gabe C. Trujillo, Ron E. Sedall and fiancé Emily Roley, Hilary and spouse Shane Polec of Phoenix, AZ, April and spouse Jason Melkowski of Phoenix, AZ, and Aivary and spouse Trey Hicky of Phoenix, AZ; seven great-grandchildren; his brother, Jim Robertson and spouse Barbara of Orange County, California, and his sister, Margaret Wagner of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Also touching Ron’s life were Lynn and spouse Joe Chesky, Stefani Yates-Groff and spouse Richard Groff, and David and spouse Connie Yates. Ron was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris J. Robertson.

A service will be held Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Westside. The family extends a very special thank-you to the entire staff at Palmilla Senior Living’s Retirement and Memory Care department as well as to Heartland Hospice.
