Ronald J. Fresolo, 86, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, in his home in Albuquerque, NM., surrounded by loved ones, after a period of declining health.
Ron was born in Worcester, MA., to the late Rocco A. and Dorothy Fresolo. Ron graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester, MA. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Berlin Crisis. Prior to moving to New Mexico, Ron was Grocery Manager at the Big D on Mill Street in Worcester, MA., for several years. Ron continued his career in New Mexico as a manager with the John Brooks grocery stores in Albuquerque, NM., up until his retirement at age 65. Ron and his wife Nancy enjoyed many years of retirement together, travelling with family and friends until he was no longer able. Then according to his wishes, he then spent his remaining years in his home with his wife of over 50 years until he was taken from us.
Ron leaves behind his beloved “bride” Nancy, of 50+ years; his stepson Thomas Melendy and his wife Sharon; as well as his four grandchildren, Brendan (Jessica), Sean (Karen), Ryan (Gisella), and Erin-Rose. He also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren; his sisters, Louise D. Tula, Dorothy M. Kamendulis, Irene M. Fresolo, Terese M. Zalieckas and her husband, Anthony; sister-in-law, Harriet Fresolo; all of Massachusetts, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Ron was predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Rocco A. Fresolo, Jr. (Pauline), Marie Bisceglia (Matteo), Marjorie Duquette (Albert), Joseph Fresolo, and Richard Fresolo (Joan); and his brothers in law, Paul Tula and Francis Kamendulis.
Ron was a devoted catholic and attended Mass every Saturday with Nancy at his Parish Church, Our Lady of the Anunciation, until he became homebound.
Ron will best be remembered for his sincere kindness towards others, his beautiful singing voice, his quick wit, and his sense of humor, but most of all for the love he showed to Nancy and his family.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 8:30 am at Our Lady of the Anunciation Church. For those unable to attend, a link will be provided to watch the service via live streaming.
Ron’s ashes will be interred at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA
