Ronald Eugene Ertz

Ron Ertz, a business owner of a plumbing and heating company, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the age of 65 in his home in Albuquerque, NM.

Ron is survived by his wife, Lori; his children, Suzanna and Cisco; his son-in-law, Marcus; and his grandson, Ezra Rhys.

Ron was born in San Diego, CA to Eugene (Gene) and Elinor Ertz. He grew up on a US Naval military base and spent many years visiting his family in Burlington, Iowa. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in architecture. Ron and Lori married in 1984 in the backyard they would raise their children in.

Ron was a devoted father and loved his new role as an "Opa" (grandfather). He enjoyed camping, fishing and golfing. He ensured he took care of his friends, family, and neighbors and lived by the virtue of treating others the way you wanted to be treated. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him, and we will keep his memory alive.
