Ronald Darr

RONALD EDWARD DARR Ron Darr, passed away August 3rd, 2012 at the age of 77. He graduated from Greenville High School in IL, and with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Orange County College, CA. He married Mary Lou Huyear in 1958 and they lived stateside and overseas, as transferred during his 24 years in the US Air Force. He retired from the Air Force and later from Intel. He and Mary Lou were very active in the UNM Lobo Club raising funds for athletic scholarships and supporting the UNM teams. Ron was preceded in death by Mary Lou. Surviving Ron is daughter, Tracy Darr-Van Reet and her husband, Ed Van Reet, and 2 grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 10th, 2012 at French -Lomas Chapel. His ashes will be buried at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, in a niche alongside his wife.
