Roger B. Abbott

Roger B. Abbott passed away February 24, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Minot, North Dakota, on April 14, 1934 to Victor B. and Esther Abbott. He graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in electrical engineering and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Roger served in the Air Force from 1957 to 1960. He worked at Sandia Laboratory beginning in 1956 until 1992. He earned The Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff Award at Sandia. Roger married JoAnne Anderson in 1957 and they were blessed with two children, Nancy Farley (Dave) and David (Debbie). Their grandchildren are Dale and Ashley Abbott. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Collins of Maine, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Marjorie Borchert; his parents; and a grandson, Michael Farley. Roger was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. He loved playing duplicate bridge, golfing and traveling.
