Robin Renee Heimann

Robin Renee (Strako) Heimann, age 57, a devoted wife and educator passed away peacefully on Monday, August 19th, 2024. Robin was married to the love of her life, Bill Heimann. This past July 6th, they celebrated 34 years of a loving marriage together sharing many happy memories and lots of laughs along the way.

As much as Robin loved kids, she never had children of her own. But since her teenage years, she dedicated her life to being a caregiver, a nurturer and an educator to those of others. She has touched the lives of many, many children and their families over multiple years as a nanny and a teacher for over 15 Years. She opened her heart to each and every one of them. Robin was a selfless person always putting others before herself. She lived her life with extreme courage and strength.

Robin loved to cook alongside Bill and on her own. She was known to prepare extra food so she could share the leftovers with her school staff and friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed walking her beloved dogs Roxy and Lola. Robin and Bill were very proud of being rescue dog owners to multiple dogs through the years. When she wasn't cooking dinner, she loved spending time with Bill at their favorite, local "spots" to enjoy an appetizer and catch a game.

Our family extends a heartfelt gratitude to the Heimann family who took Robin under their wings when she moved from Des Moines to Albuquerque with Bill in 1992, as well as all the wonderful friends she made along the way. She was a dedicated wife, daughter, sister and friend. Her kindness and thoughtfulness touched the lives of all those that were fortunate enough to cross her path. We were blessed to have her in our lives, she will be missed tremendously by all who knew her.

Robin joins her husband, Bill Heimann who passed on August 21, 2024. She is survived by her sisters, Kelli Smith (Trent) and Kayla Coy (Brad); brothers, Joe Strako (Rosann), Jay Strako and Jon Strako (Jenny). She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Susan Heimann and father-in-law, Ed Heimann, as well as multiple nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. Robin was proceeded in death by her parents, Joe and Barb Strako, her mother-in-law, Jean Heimann, sister-in-law, Nancy Heimann, grandparents and uncle.

A mass and celebration of life will be held Friday, September 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, located at 12500 Carmel Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be sent to the Albuquerque Public School District or send checks directly to the school where Robin taught; Ventana Ranch Elementary (Faculty Fund #264120) 6801 Ventana Village Rd.
