Roberta, a vibrant and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaves behind a legacy of joy, warmth, and unforgettable memories.
Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Roberta’s life was a beautiful testament to love, laughter, and living life to its fullest.
Roberta was a vibrant presence who loved her family and friends with unwavering depth and devotion. She was fun-loving and delightfully "predictably unpredictable," always bringing a sense of adventure and joy to those around her. She loved playing cards, hosting parties, and watching the stunning waters of the Sea of Cortez, where she found endless joy observing dolphins and sandpipers at the beach. Her home in Mexico, adorned with her favorite bougainvillea flowers, was a reflection of her vibrant spirit and love for nature’s beauty.
She was a storyteller at heart, spinning both imaginative tales and heartfelt stories of her cherished upbringing. Roberta brought the magic of Christmas alive, especially on Christmas Eve, where the soft glow of luminarias was her favorite sight. She sang in the car, made holidays special, and teased her loved ones with playful humor. A bit of a prankster and a generous giver, Roberta delighted in finding the perfect gift to make someone smile.
Her effervescent personality made everyone feel welcome. Whether hosting a lively party or sharing quiet moments with her family, Roberta’s loyalty, humor, and warmth created connections that will be cherished forever.
Roberta is survived by her beloved husband, Ray (Zaz) Zazworsky, who was the love of her life, her daughters Kris and Kate, their husbands, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.
Roberta’s light will forever shine in the hearts of those who loved her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and the beauty she found in the world will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in every story told, every beautiful blue ocean that leaves you in awe, and every memory cherished.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH-Lomas. Roberta will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
