Roberta Jeanne Radigan has left to be with the Lord on January 9, 2015. She was the daughter of Floyd and Pearl Rand. She grew up in Rising Sun, IN not far from Connersville, IN where she met her husband Charles Thomas Radigan who has also gone to be with the Lord. She was 88 years old and had been married to "Chuck" for 69 of those years. There were four children. To hear Mom tell it, she loved each of them equally. But if you talked to the kids they were sure they were the favorite depending on the one with whom you were talking. There was Mike and his lovely wife Celine. Second came Steve and his wife Linda. Third was Tom (that made three boys) and his wife Sandy. And finally there was Kerry (the lone girl Mom always wanted) and her husband Dennis. Among these there are 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Many of them were able to be with Mom and spend time talking and laughing together before the Lord called her home. Mom also had a brother, Charles Rand who lived in Rising Sun. Mom and Dad moved from Indiana to Albuquerque, NM in 1956 and decided to stay. This is where they raised their kids. Mom provided one of those homes that looked a lot like the household of Mayberry with Andy Griffith. The house was always spotless, cookies in the canister, meals every night, good friends, lots of time with her family and a good swat on the rump when it was needed. She was spunky. No doubt about that. And we are all reminded that the same "fire" Mom brought to bear on us at times could just as easily be turned in our favor to defend us or encourage us. Mom was wonderful. We will miss our mom. But we are grateful to the Lord that He has taken her home to be with Dad. Just as one day we are all looking forward to being together again. Thank you, Mom, for who you were and for being the mother we needed. We love you. We will remember Mom on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming.
