Robert Lee Wooldridge Sr

WOOLDRIDGE, ROBERT LEE, Sr. Robert Lee Wooldridge, Sr., a resident of Albuquerque since 1979, died on Sunday, December 7, 2014. He is survived by his children, James Colebank of Albuquerque, NM, Robin Sanchez and husband, Steven of Cedar Crest, NM Dawn Watts and husband, Steve of Albuquerque, NM and Robert L. Wooldridge, Jr. and wife, Yvonne of North Plains, OR; grandchildren, Tabitha and husband, Darrell, Brandon, Devin, Rick, Selena, Jonathan, Taylor and Evan; and great-grandchildren, Brooke, Noah, Izabella, and Annalise; and sisters, Joyce Towers and Ellen Baum of Wilmington, DE. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne Marie Wooldridge in 2004; and his parents, Ethel Mae Stark and George R. Wooldridge. Robert graduated from Pierre S. DuPont High School in Wilmington, DE and joined the United States Air Force. He was a Vietnam Veteran, having served in Bien Hoa, Vietnam for one year. He married Dianne Marie Wooldridge in 1966 and continued his education, graduating from Iverness College, Invergrove Heights, MN, and briefly attended University of Minnesota. He worked for Minnesota Mining Manufacturing from 1968-1975. He worked for over 29 years for the United States Postal Service in Albuquerque, retiring in 2003, and was also a school crossing guard at Mary Ann Binford. Robert had a love of all sports; especially Philadelphia sports teams, "Go Eagles". Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Westside. Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Westside. Burial will take place on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
