Robert Michael Ruiz

July 16, 1954 — April 9, 2024

Albuquerque

...1954 never was as beautiful as it was July 16, the day our daddy, and husband to his soulmate TerryLynn was born. Robert grew up wild with a child's heart, living many adventures, traveling on his motorcycles through our desert wind to his home of the Rockies, Denver. Being a natural protector Robert spent his whole life serving people through his military and medical service. He was a Combat Medic serving as a Green Beret in the US Army, later returning to school to become an RN, working for New Mexico's men, women, and children. Robert never met a stranger, and never met a soul he didn't share his love of the Lord with.

Robert loved sunsets and rainbows, the color pink, and yellow roses...he took time to appreciate little miracles such as ants parading together on a summer day, to grand creations like the Cosmos and changing seasons. While his love for the Lord's creations ran far and wide, his heart belonged to the Lord and his family. His passion was in making sure everyone was fed and comfortable, and his joy was found watching movies and eating weekly dinners with his favorite girls, Terry, Teri, and Keri. With his love, Terry, he adored holding her hands, spending quiet evenings alone revisiting their childhoods together by watching 'The Beverly Hillbillies' 'Lost In Space', or taking new adventures watching 'Expedition Unknown'. They listened to music they grew up with and giggled over sweet memories. With his little shadow, Teri, he found his infectious laugh riding into the night with her on his Harley, heading to their favorite billiard, ready to play pool. He loved exploring the silly macabre with her by spending afternoons watching, 'The Munsters' and 'The Addams Family', hand in loving hand, enjoying the audience laugh sound bite, their favorite. With Keri, he found his peaceful smile cooking and sharing a countertop with her and her crossed legs. Poetry, books, and music on vinyl defined their relationship....and will live on forever in shared pages and tones in favorite songs.

11/11/21, a special date, a date our family solidified and three became four, officially. The best day, ever! Our hearts grew exponentially, and our forever became a little sweeter. Robert married his sweetheart, Terry. And our lives turned into a dream! 5/18/84, the day his twin girls were born and his world became a whirlwind of pink and purple, little girl laughter and a love for all things gentle. Robert was a rough and tough biker with a heart of a gold, who loved being a daddy.

Robert is survived by his wife, TerryLynn Ruiz; his twin daughters, Teri and Keri Ruiz; his son Vincent Ruiz; and his girls Tina and Julie. He is survived by his grandson, Salem Ruiz-Overfield, et al. His granddaughters, Jett and Juniper, et al, and various siblings, cousins, and loved ones. He was welcomed home by his daddy, Raymond Ruiz; mom Angelina; brother Vince.....And as he felt little feet pitter-patter, he looked down and was welcomed home by his tiny fur grandbaby, Remmy 'The Rems' Ruiz.

Think of Robert Michael Ruiz when you see a Weeping Willow or a Cardinal....when you hear a motorcycle rev its engine or a dove coo. Think of him when you see baby animals and what he believed to be God's greatest and gentlest creations, wildflowers...
