Robert Murillo

Robert Murillo, 85 years young, passed peacefully Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Branford Hills Health Care Center in Branford, CT.

Formerly of Albuquerque, NM, he was the son of the late Juan and Rita Murillo.
A well-educated man with a PHD in Criminology. He became a professor of same and shared his knowledge in multiple institutions of higher learning including the University of New Haven, in CT. He particularly enjoyed sharing his knowledge with the less fortunate.

He was a spiritual man, becoming a choir director in several churches. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling, cooking and dancing. He was a proud and stern family man with a charismatic personality.

He is survived by his brother, Frank Murillo; and his loving children, Kathleen Stetzer, Sharon (Gary) Rett, Leslie and Michael Murillo; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Gloria Roney; brother, John Murillo; and his beloved Toro.

Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Welcoming friends and family to join us at that time. A luncheon will immediately follow at Quarters BBQ Restaurant, 801 Yale Blvd SE Albuquerque, NM 87106.
