Robert "Bob" Harold McAfee, age 96, a resident of Albuquerque since 1947 died on Saturday, December 9, 2017. He is survived by his wife, of 72 years, Waltena June McAfee; daughter, Paula Y. McAfee and husband, E. Matt Kyriakos; son, Ronald H. McAfee and wife, Deanna J. Falk; two grandchildren, Alexander Kyriakos and Ava Lily McAfee; brother-in-law, Norman Falk; and numerous other relatives and friends. Bob was born in 1921 in Muskogee, OK and after graduation from high school attended a couple of years of college. During the War he worked for McDonald Douglas in Tulsa as an inspector. It was there that he met June who was an instrumentation detailer. They were married in 1945. In 1947 they moved to Albuquerque where he went to work for Bradbury and Stamm Construction, retiring in 1988 as Vice-President. Bob's primary love was his family, to which he was deeply devoted. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust St. NE, Friday, December 15, 2017, 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to the charity of your choice.
