Robert Lovato, 79, beloved husband, father and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on Thursday, February 6, 2020. He entered this world on Monday, March 11, 1940, in Las Vegas, NM, born to Patricio and Lois Lovato. He had three siblings, Patricia Martinez, (her children and spouses, Filbert and Nancy, Debbie and Greg, Elizabeth and Monica), Rosie Sandoval and Patito Lovato. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rosie; brother-in-law, Sonny; and niece, Patricia. He loved reading, fishing, solving word puzzles, and above all, Dallas Cowboy Football.
Robert's family includes his wife of 49 years, Geniva Lovato; four daughters, Yvette Griego, Annamarie Luna, Sandra Chavez, and Debbie Griego; son-laws, Kenny Luna, Jeffrey Chavez, and Cris Lucero. He had six grandchildren, Eric Powell, Marissa Kase, Gabriella Luna, Cassandra Luna, Nikolas Chavez and Megan Chavez; one great-grandchild, Jaxon Robert Powell; and many other family members who all loved him greatly.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, February 14, 2020, at FRENCH-University. The Graveside Service will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102. A reception will be held at FRENCH-University at the conclusion of the Services.
