Robert K. Kohls

Robert “Bob” Keith Kohls, has been reunited with his sweetheart, Karlene. Bob, son of the late Herbert and Alice (Burt) Kohls, was born October 27, 1948 in Wisconsin and went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 30, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico in his daughter and son-in-law’s home. He had attained the age of 70 years with his recent birthday. Bob had made Wisconsin, Indiana and New Mexico his home. He was a Purchasing Manager for Indiana Glass Company, Dunkirk, Tool & Die Company, Muncie, and Isleta Casino in Albuquerque. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. On June 13, 1970, he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Karlene K. Krueger. To this union two children were born. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lawrence Kohls, one son, Kevin R. Kohls (2013) and his love, Karlene, (August 2018). They had just celebrated their 48th year wedding anniversary.

He is survived by his loving family, brother, Kenneth Kohls (Sandy); daughter, Kelly McMillen (Brian); two grandchildren, Mikayla McMillen and Aiden James McMillen. He thought of Brian McMillen’s nieces and nephews as grandchildren. Pauly Gettis, Jeremy Gettis, William Coogler, Matthew Coogler, Kayleigh Tirone, Rudy Cera Jr., Kyle Cera, Derek Cera, Rheina Cera and Korena Cera. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends. He leaves behind his Lincoln High School Classmates 1966. He spent his life supporting the Lincoln class of 66’ reunions and helped prepare the class reunion member books. He enjoyed camping with Karlene in Wisconsin during the summers. He will be missed by his family in Wisconsin, Missouri, and Texas. He loved movies, traveling, fishing, playing Hand and Foot card games, and traditions at the holidays. He loved being a Gampa! Special thanks to his cousins, Dianne Krueger Gross, Al and Annette Godwin and the comfort they brought in his final months. Special thanks to Harmony Hospice, especially Tamar, Skitch, Chris, and Brian, for all of their support and comfort brought to him and the family. He will be laid to rest next to his sweetheart and son at Sunset Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 4301 Atrisco Dr. NW Albuquerque, NM (Service will be streamed live at our Savior Lutheran Church). Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Albuquerque, NM.
