Robert (Bob) Russell Hanthorn, 86, beloved husband and father, passed away on January 31, 2022. Bob was born on September 10, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio to Russell and Emma Hanthorn. Bob spent his youth on the family farm in Oak Harbor, Ohio before enlisting in the US Air Force at the age of 17. Following his military service as an aircraft mechanic, Bob married his wife Ruby Grace (Donohoe) in Ohio. The newly married couple moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1957 where they raised three exceptional daughters: Kathleen, Karen, and Kristine. Bob enjoyed planes, trains, and automobiles and was a master with his hands. He kept constantly busy outside of work either rebuilding automobiles, making furniture for his family, or building just about anything, including his last house. Bob is survived by his three daughters and their spouses: Kathy and Mitch McCrory, Karen and Jim Holden-Rhodes, and Kris and Dan Derieg; their six grandchildren Amanda and her husband Zeke Snyder, Ken and his wife Katie McCrory, Tiffany and her husband Luke Mosel, Brittany Holden-Rhodes, Russell Derieg, and Katrina Derieg; ten great grandchildren Zane, Dylan, Zoey, Brielle, Zuri, Elijah, Aria, Emma, Zyah, and Ella; brothers Joe, Art, Jack, and Russell; sisters Imogene, Letta, and Betty Ann. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Emma, and his loving wife of 61 years, Ruby Grace Hanthorn.
