Robert Gustaf Johnson

We are saddened to announce the passing of Robert G. Johnson, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the age of 94.

Bobby J was born on Wednesday, June 20, 1928 in Albuquerque, NM. He married the love of his life, Shirley Acree in 1949 and began building his legacy. Bobby J had a hand in touching and helping the lives of many, and those that were lucky enough to know Bobby J, got to experience a man that lived life to its fullest, worked hard, and loved beyond measure. Bobby J had a passion for motorcycles that was undeniable, and he loved to share that passion with family and friends. So much in fact, he worked at night to fund his passion of owning a motorcycle business, which we all know today as Bobby J's Yamaha, the longest running dealership in the US. Bobby J leaves behind a daughter, Sandy Buckelew, of Elephant Butte, and a long list of grandchildren and great grandchildren that loved and admired him dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 2, 2022, 11:30 a.m., at FRENCH - Lomas. A reception will follow at the Unser Racing Museum, 1776 Montano Rd. NW, Los Ranchos de Albuquerque 87107.
