Robert Oda Crew

Robert Oda Crew led a life outdoors with a successful career in the U.S. Forest Service in California and New Mexico for over 30 years. He assisted in the preservation of wildlife and many National Forests. In his retirement, he became a guide helping tourists view the parks and monuments. A life-long outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, hiking and discovering the world's natural beauty.

Late in his life, Robert met and married Marilyn Steiner-Beiler, with whom he laughed, traveled and enjoyed comfort and happiness.

With his first wife, Laura Faye Rambo , he raised three children; Kathy Louise Schuit, of Tijeras, NM; Clinton David Crew, of Idaho Falls, ID; and Aerin Ann Holt of Tujunga, CA all of whom have survived him.

His was grandfather to Nathan Schuit, of New Mexico; Kristine Bowker of New Mexico ; Brittany Jordan, of California; Megan Crew, of Florida; and Otto Crew, of Idaho, all of whom survive him. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

He was a friend to many and beloved by all who knew him.

His booming laugh will continue to resonate through the forest.
