Robert Gail Burbridge, was called to his heavenly home by his Lord and Savior on September 25, 2017.
Bob was born on May 13, 1945 in Omaha, Nebraska, the middle son of Gail and Bernadine Burbridge. He married the love of his life Carol Ann Strauss on August 17, 1968.
Bob completed his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln on May 31, 1969. He obtained a Master of Arts in Procurement Management from Webster University in 1984.
Bob attended officer training school in San Antonio, Texas, and enlisted in the United States Air Force as an officer on March 11, 1970. There he served his country proudly, achieving the title of Command Pilot, performing in search and rescue missions and as an instructor pilot for HC-130 and T-38 aircraft. Bob retired from the Air Force as a Captain on November 30, 1989.
After retiring from the Air Force, Bob worked at Lockheed Martin as a flight instructor and scheduling manager for 20 years. Bob's passion for flying and his devotion to his country remained throughout his life.
Bob was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker football fan. His hobbies included boating, camping, flying model airplanes and driving fast cars. The more horsepower, the better! He loved life. He enjoyed spending time every Tuesday with his friends whom he served with. After his retirement, Bob was a full-time devoted husband, father and grandpa. More than anything, Bob enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. They were the light of his life.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bernadine and Gail Burbridge.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carol Burbridge; two daughters, Robyn Burbridge and Jana Anderson; son-in-law Ricky Anderson; grandson, Evan Anderson, and granddaughter, Eliana Anderson; as well as his two brothers, Glen and Gail Burbridge.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017, at 10:00 am, at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87109. Full military honors will be performed at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.
