Dabbs, Robbie R. Robbie Dabbs, 90, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2015. She is remembered by friends and family as a Christian woman of compassion and generosity, who had a vivacious personality, and a special sense of humor. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Carl Dabbs, who passed away in 2011; her parents, and three sisters. She is survived by sisters Gloria Harden and Rae Kirkmeyer, of Texas, P.J. Sparks, of NM, and her brother, Ron Anderson, of TX. Appreciation is given to niece, Jo Barton, for caregiving for Robbie's sister, Gloria. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Robbie retired from Mountain Bell of New Mexico after holding several positions in communications and investigations. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Albuquerque Women's Club and various bridge groups. Robbie and her deacon-husband Carl were longtime members of Albuquerque's First Baptist Church. Together, they served on the Baptismal Committee, led Training Union, and helped with Noon Day. Robbie and Carl made weekly visits to those who were home-bound and in the hospital. They also enjoyed travel to many foreign countries, trips with the FBC senior group, and camping and fishing with family. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, March 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. A Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, , or to Albuquerque's First Baptist Church, 4601 Paradise Blvd. NW, Ste. B, Albuquerque, NM 87114.
