Rita Kerr

Rita Rodgers Kerr, 93, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away on October 19, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 and one half years, Jack,  and her daughter, Janyce Preston. She is survived by daughter, Marsha (Don) Anderson and son-in-law, Richard Preston.  She had six grandchildren, Heidi (Chad), Doug, Andrew (Julie), Ethan (Jennifer), Ben (Kate) and Beky (Blair). Rita had nine great grandchildren, Kole, John, Addie, Harper, Vada, Jack, Archie, Gus and Roger. She is also survived by one sister, Dola Clark; sister in law, Barbara Kerr; and nephew, Clarence Rodgers; along with other relatives and friends.

Rita had an extensive collection of kitchen antiques.  Many were displayed in cabinets and shelving crafted by Jack.  Rita and the collection were the subject of a feature article in the Albuquerque Journal.  She loved baking an assortment of pies for holidays and family gatherings. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
