Rita Marie Hicks

Rita Hicks, age 98, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was called to Heaven on Thursday, December 29, 2022. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving daughters.

Rita will be remembered for her gorgeous smile, devotion to her family, and her infectious sense of humor. Rita shared her love of baking and decorating amazing cakes for any occasion with those that she loved. She carried on the tradition her mother created of playing the piano during Rita's childhood and learned to play the organ, giving her family endless joy playing music that we will never forget. Rita, also, very much enjoyed bowling with her friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy, Mary, and Donna and her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Rita was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harvey and beautiful daughters, Janet, and Francis.

Services are pending at La Paz Graham's Funeral Home in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Interment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park in El Paso, Texas.
