GEBMAN, Rita Ann
Rita Ann Gebman, 70, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, after a short battle with cancer.
She is survived by her partner, Brian Michalec of 16 years; niece Melissa Meadows-Leyba and husband Ray, of Oklahoma City, OK; nephew and Godson John Allen Gebman and wife Angel, of Los Cruses, NM; 11 great-nephews and nieces; Goddaughter Lindsey Tarasenko of Albuquerque, NM, and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Antonia Gebman, brothers Phillip Gebman, and Allen Gebman.
Rita retired from the FBI in 2000 after 35 years of service. She then enjoyed working at Gordon's Jewelers for a few years before fully retiring to enjoy traveling with Brian.
Rita was a kind and loving person who inspired many and will be deeply missed.
A private family service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a memorial contribution to a cancer research organization of your choice, such as The Mayo Clinic, Cancer Treatment Centers of America or the American Cancer Society.
