Richard Michael (Dick) Moran, a resident of Albuquerque since 1968, died Sunday, April 2, 2023. He passed from this life to the next suddenly but peacefully at the age of 70. Dick was born in Columbus, Ohio to his parents, Col. Charles Moran (retired) and Anne Moran on November 4, 1952, who preceded him in death. His brother, Dr. Steve Moran and wife, Kandice, of Texas, will greatly miss him. He had one niece, Holly (Ryan) Smith and their three children, Hudson, Hadleigh, and Remington of Texas, and one nephew, Luke (Shanna) Moran and their children, Jace, Travis, and Dawson of New Mexico.
Dick loved volunteer work with the Republican Party in New Mexico, willing to lend a helping hand. He graduated from Sandia High School, received a B.S. degree in biology from UNM as a lab technician, and later received his stockbroker license. He was a faithful caregiver to both parents.
The last year of his life, Dick lived at Brookdale Independent Living in Albuquerque. He enjoyed meeting new friends, participating in weekly Bible studies, and singing in the small groups. He now rests with Jesus.
