Richard B. Trybus, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at his home in Rio Rancho, NM. He was 91. Richard was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Rio Rancho in 1988.
He supported the automotive industry as a research metallurgical technician for many years, retiring in 1982.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife, of 67 years, Virginia Jean Trybus; son, Paul and his wife Andrea; daughter, Kathleen Burton and her husband, Cody, son Charles and daughter Claire DeGroot and her husband, Michael; granddaughters, Elaissa, Brittany, Lian, and Leah; grandson Chris; and great-grandson Porter. Although an unassuming man, Richard received the Bronze Star for meritorious action under enemy fire in the European Theater, World War II.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas, 1502 Sara Rd, SE, Rio Rancho. A rosary service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., preceding the service. A private memorial will be held at the Committal Service Area at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
