Richard Sheridan went home on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife, Susan Sheridan of 37 years of marriage. Richard had been an aspiring actor having attended the North Carolina School of the Arts and then off to Hollywood, CA. His best opportunity was to work on the Elvis Presley 1968 TV special. He is one of the opening shadow dancers. Richard moved to Las Vegas, NV to work as a craps dealer, floorman and finally a boxman for Wynn Resorts in 2011. He retired from work due to health issues and moved to Rio Rancho, NM to be near his wife's family. He is also survived by his half-brother, Ben Dozier of Alexandria, VA. He will be missed, especially with the wonderful tales of his Las Vegas casino days, his life growing up back east and adventures hitchhiking across America as a young man. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richard Sheridan Memorial Fund, set up at the US Bank.
