Richard P. Loy, a resident of Albuquerque, formerly of Dayton, OH, age 90, passed away May 6, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; his son, Daniel; and his grandson, Travis. Richard was born in Rochester, NY and raised in Royal Oak, MI where he graduated high school. He moved to Dayton in 1942. He was a WWII veteran. He believed strongly in education and when he returned to Dayton after the war, he resumed his education at the University of Dayton, all the while working full time. He was a voracious reader and continued taking classes at universities in every state he lived in, which were quite a few. Dick was proud to be a Teamster and worked as an organizer for many years. He loved and respected nature of all kinds and did his bit by planting lots of trees and flowers. He also loved restoring old houses. He had a wonderful sense of humor, which will be greatly missed along with his smarts. Remember Dick with a random act of kindness in his memory. FRENCH - Wyoming 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE (505) 823-9400
