Richard Lopez, age 58, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018. Richard was born in Los Angeles and moved to Albuquerque when he was 21. He enjoyed fishing and camping although he never seemed to have enough time to do these things as often as he wanted. He liked classic cars, oldies and the blues, John Wayne movies, experimenting at the barbeque, and arguing about politics. His big dream was to retire in a couple of years, buy a motorhome, and see America.
Richard worked in the paint industry for 36 years. He was known all over town for his expertise and experience. At work and at home, he was the man you went to for resolutions to a problem. He will be remembered as someone who went out of his way to help the people he knew.
Richard is survived by his wife of 34 years, Michele; his daughter, Leann; his son, Eric; his mother, Frances Lopez, of Albuquerque; his sister, Sylvia Orona, and her husband, David, of Walnut, CA; and his brothers, Ronald and Vincent, of Albuquerque, along with several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
