JoAnne G. and Richard Fell Cobb, Jr. beloved by family and friends and long term residents of Albuquerque New Mexico left us recently in Largo Florida. JoAnne (Grace JoAnne) was born October 3, 1931 of Howard P. Taylor and Jessie Jardine in Iowa City, Iowa and left us in hospice care on a Wednesday afternoon September 24, 2014 with family by her side. Residing in California JoAnne moved to Albuquerque with her mother, working as a human resource officer at The Bank of Albuquerque and worshiping at the First Presbyterian Church where she met Richard in the church choir and singles group. Richard was born December 21,1922 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania of Richard Fell Cobb, Sr. and Elizabeth McConnell and left us two weeks later on a Wednesday evening October 8, 2014 with family by his side. Richard served America in World War II, Patton's third Army, 83rd infantry division, returning home as a master sergeant to work in the nuclear power industry after attending the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University and Penn State University. After the loss of his father, his wife, Anne Elizabeth and his long term career at Westinghouse Betis Atomic power in 1983 he transitioned in New Mexico where he fell in love with the people of New Mexico, the Navajo Indian nation and JoAnne. A Graveside Service will be Friday, November 14, 2014, 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. They are both bitterly mourned by family friends, neighbors, sisters, brothers-in-law, sons and daughters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
